Welsolutions is owned and operated by Eric Welin who graduated from Western New England University in 2003 with a degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on hardware and software design. Eric began providing quality web development in 2003 as a freelancer and eventually started his own Web Design and Development business, Welsolutions. Over the past years, he has been involved in the requirements assessment, planning, and business strategies of both small and large scale websites. He also provides ongoing maintenance and hosting for many clients.
Eric is well versed with WordPress, html, css, w3c standards, php, mysql, various SEO tools for optimizing web sites and building responsive designs for the modern age. In addition to hand written xhtml, html, and css code he has also worked with several ecommerce scripts, forum scripts including phpBB, vBulletin and XenForo, and content management systems (CMS) like WordPress, Joomla and a custom CMS script that he developed. He believes that if his clients need the ability to update their content on their own without any programming skills that a solution can be created to do so. He is a big proponent of open source technology and building usable and efficient web applications.
In addition to his work with Welsolutions Eric is also, since 2008, a founding partner of DJJTEK LLC. DJJTEK owns and operates a membership based stock market analysis forum. Eric created several custom vBulletin interfaces for the forum. He is also a father to a son with fragile X syndrome and is the co-leader for the Eastern Massachusetts Fragile X group of the National Fragile X Foundation (NFXF) since 2010. In 2011 he was contracted by the NFXF to update their website and he still provides them with ongoing maintenance and development as a valued member of the communications team.
